Joplin Globe Madness: “Venting” is the PC Word for “Whining”

Rita wrote in today, but nobody cares. Not when there’s fresh meat around. Especially fresh meat that spews every non-grievance grievance into an incoherent jumble of white whining*?

Rarity from MLP. Image c/o Iambrony.com

Pardon me, "venting."

Ladies and gentlemen, Julia Miller does not whine. She vents.

She starts off whining about smoker’s rights. Now, I’m all for legal drugs and employee rights, and I go back and forth on smoking bans (on one hand: worker safety; on the other hand, smoking sections usually don’t have screaming kids), and I’ve got an eye for implied freedoms in the spirit of the Constitution.

That being said, there is no such thing as even implied smoker’s rights in the Constitution. Unless you interpret a cigarette as an arm you can bear.  You can kill people with it, but it’s kind of a slow way isn’t it?  I can appreciate you wanting to kill someone slowly and painfully, we all have days like that, but there’s a limit for Pete’s sake! That’s what God gave us Draino and opaque drinks for. I really wish the smoker’s lobby would change their terminology.

Anyway, she wants to be tolerated by employers. Just follow her example!

If that’s acceptable, then let’s take a look at banning obese health care employees. At one time or another, we’ve all been subjected to an enormous person, huffing and puffing, and perspiring, and their flab is laying on some part of our body while tending to their duties. As a smoker with emphysema, I breathe easier, and get around better than most obese people.

…Wow. I’m “subjected” to obese people every day. Depending on your definition of obese (which varies wildly), I’m sadly subjected to my fat ass every moment. Personally I’d rather be subjected to 100 obese people than one superficial self-absorbed wanker like Julia Miller. Unfortunately, I’m also subjected to Julia Millers every day too. Maybe we can get random catty jerk screenings at work?

Reflecting on fat people reminds her that there are other people who aren’t like her, and she totally unravels.

Like Mexicans and presidents!

We have a president who’s selling us out to East Indian nations, while living high on the hog. And, next in line, this once great nation is “hell bent for leather” in becoming the “Northern United States of Mexico.”

And of course she’s a fucking stuck-up godbag as well. As Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world. Also NO FAT CHICKS.”

Thank God, (oh, no, I dared to mention him) I won’t live to see some of the devastation.

Oh hey! Did you hear about Jessica Ahlquist, Julia Miller? Did you hear how her side totally creamed yours in court? And how your side is totally shitting the bed, threatening her, griping like spoiled children…basically pulling a Julia Miller? And how nothing they can do can change the fact that they lost horribly?

I just thought you might like to hear that. I know I do.

Anyway! Don’t forget to tell us how persecuted white people are!

I’m so Caucasian I glow in the dark, but that’s an atrocity these days. You can celebrate, and days are set aside to celebrate, being anything other than a white, heterosexual person.

First off, if you’re glowing in the dark, that’s not Caucasian. That’s a bioluminescent deep-sea fish. You’re not even a fucking tetrapod. Stop meddling in human sociopolitics, fish.

Second off, as previously stated everywhere else, they do have white hetero pride days. They’re called EVERY DAY. Privilege! LEARN IT.

After taking a dig at people who use a word to describe their ethnicity and their nationality, but before the hilarious parting shot about immigration (please, somebody dig up this woman’s family tree and see if her ancestors came here “the right way”. As in not just showing up and claiming any Indian land you set foot on.), she concludes thus:

Wouldn’t it be a wonderful thing if everyone relearned the meaning of “tolerance,” and truly came here for the right reasons?

The true meaning of tolerance, it turns out, is “don’t be noticeably different than me and if you are, don’t challenge my privilege and assumptions. And don’t leave your house if you’re fat.”

Maybe we should make February “Chain Smoking Snotty White Wanker History Month.” I nominate Julia for the planning committee.

*Speaking of which, if you haven’t already you should go to whitewhine.com. It’s like this letter,  only less consolidated.

“When I was younger, I didn’t necessarily see religion as something that needed to be fought all the time. But the more research I did, the more I learned that religion can be a big problem. That kind of inspired me to start fighting this prayer.”

That is a quote from Jessica Ahlquist.

It’s obviously not about the banner.

She thinks you can make people quit worshipping God.

She thinks just like the 16 year old that she is.

    • January 20, 2012 at 5:34 pm

Doesn’t change the fact that the banner is illegal.

      • January 20, 2012 at 11:36 pm

I don’t get their decision at all. You know that schools used to be in churches? I’m sure there were Bibles and crosses all over the place inside them while school was in session.

The separation of church and state was simply that no official state denomination would be established by the state and imposed on everyone.

    • January 20, 2012 at 5:37 pm

Doesn’t change the fact that the banner was illegal.

Also doesn’t mean she deserves death and rape threats.

      • January 20, 2012 at 11:43 pm

        /Whe

Whether or not it was illegal is debatable regardless of the decision rendered.

It is not debatable that she or anyone else deserves death and rape threats, of course she doesn’t.

BUT, she does have an ulterior motive.

I read that Dawkins (you know, the guy who’s afraid to debate W.L. Craig) promised C. Hitchens that he would see that before he died Christianity was eradicated. He must also think like a 16 year old.

They can get rid of every banner, plaque, cross, whatever, in every single school and public space.
        It doesn’t change anything really.

Hymns will be sang, prayers will by prayed and God will be praised.

“Whether or not it was illegal is debatable regardless of the decision rendered.”

Actually, it’s not debatable. That’s what “decision rendered” means.

“BUT, she does have an ulterior motive.”

        Irrelevant.

“I read that Dawkins (you know, the guy who’s afraid to debate W.L. Craig)”

Like how I’m afraid to hit a baby with glasses.

“promised C. Hitchens that he would see that before he died Christianity was eradicated.”

        [citation needed]

“They can get rid of every banner, plaque, cross, whatever, in every single school and public space.
        It doesn’t change anything really.

Hymns will be sang, prayers will by prayed and God will be praised.”

WHICH IS WHAT WE WANT. We want it to be carried out by PRIVATE institutions.

But if that’s so, and your faith doesn’t need government endorsement, then why is the mob pitching such a fit? Some faith.

P.S. I’m bringing a housewarming gift for you Wednesday. I’ll just leave it with your Mom.

    http://winteryknight.wordpress.com/2011/12/21/richard-dawkins-who-claims-to-oppose-genocide-vows-to-destroy-christianity/

The interview in which Dawkins made the comment was in the New Statesman. I don’t think that you can read it online without a subscription.

It seems to me that atheists are extremely intolerant. It seems they will not be happy until every single church is burned to the ground and every single Christian is in a concentration camp.

    • January 22, 2012 at 7:09 pm

      Here is that paragraph.

“The provocation in the 2011 report involves martyrdom. For purposes of research, the report defines “martyrs” as “believers in Christ who have lost their lives, prematurely, in situations of witness, as a result of human hostility.” The report estimates that there were, on average, 270 new Christian martyrs every 24 hours over the past decade, such that “the number of martyrs [in the period 2000-2010] was approximately 1 million.” Compare this to an estimated 34,000 Christian martyrs in 1900.”

It does not say it was *because* of the witnessing or their Christianity, which seems like an important distinction to me. Also where is the Status of Global Mission report? I guess I’ve been spoiled by atheist and liberal blogs, as they usually provide links to the primary source.

The woman president of the British Humanist Society backed out of a debate with W.L. Craig AFTER tickets were sold. She is a loser coward just like Dawkins.

    http://www.bethinking.org/what-is-apologetics/british-humanists-take-to-the-bunkers.htm

They’re oh so brave when they are singin’ to the choir.

    • January 22, 2012 at 11:41 am

Atheists come across as intolerant because generally, they understand that religion is dangerous. A plague of ideas and if left unchecked, it will engulf us all in the madness that it inspires. Fantasies such as promised land and rapture only lead people to believe that it doesn’t matter what they do to other people and to the world as a whole. I could burn 10 babies alive after raping all of their relatives and dumping pesticide into a water main then pray forgiveness and still make it to your heaven. Praying doesn’t make you a good person, heaven is a lie and so is the myth that christianity is inherently good.

      • January 22, 2012 at 7:04 pm

“I could burn 10 babies alive after raping all of their relatives and dumping pesticide into a water main then pray forgiveness and still make it to your heaven.”

Just as long as you don’t have consensual relations with another dude. Now THAT is the unforgivable sin.

      • January 22, 2012 at 8:50 pm

Yes to love your neighbor as yourself as the Christian God commands is incredibly dangerous.

      • January 23, 2012 at 6:58 pm

“I could burn 10 babies alive after raping all of their relatives and dumping pesticide into a water main then pray forgiveness and still make it to your heaven. ”

        No you couldn’t.

You don’t get to do these things while thinking “I’ll just ask for forgiveness after I do what I want and it will be okay”. If someone explained Christianity to you that way they were really confused about it.

Where we live there is some really messed up theology. I have heard things just about that crazy.

Read your bible and tell me where you get to “choose Jesus”. You don’t.

He chooses you, you DON’T GET A CHOICE. Get it? YOU HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER. HE MAKES THAT DECISION.

READ YOUR BIBLE. THAT IS WHAT IT SAYS. YOU DON’T GET TO MAKE THAT CHOICE.

Back to Charles Finney and his cohorts. They got it all bass ackwards and have caused a lot of confusion.

BUT, there is a reformation in the church on this matter, praise God.

      • January 22, 2012 at 8:57 pm

Lets see, if your parents worship Baal you may be slowly roasted to death in the arms of a statue that works as a furnace filled wil fire. A living human sacrifice. If you aren’t sacrificed you will see this done to other children and be forced to participate and also be raped by adults.

        On the other hand…

If Israelites are commanded by God to kill you even though you are just an infant, you will spend eternity in the arms of your Loving Creator and not grow up in the filth of paganism.

I think that I would take the second of the two.

Also, Gary Habermaus has done some research on this. There is some debate on whether or not the children were killed. At that time it was normal to say “wipe all of them out” when in reality it meant a total victory and not total death of all.

        Either way God is just.

      • January 22, 2012 at 9:18 pm

Hey now, militant pro-abortion people can’t get away with that first one. If you think it is not okay for the Israelites to kill pagan children then you can’t think that is okay to kill the unborn.

Come on now, you have to be consistant in your beliefs.

  5. January 22, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Also I guess you know that Meyers won’t debate Craig either. Scaredy cats.

Craig was on the Unbelievable radio show after word had gotten back to him that Dawkins had confided that after John Lennox kicked his behind in the US he would never put himself in that position again.

I watched the debate with Lennnox. It was hilarious. Dawkins face was the color of a fire truck from beginning to end and Lennox was loving it.

  6. January 22, 2012 at 9:05 pm

And a question, since Christians are so busy doing charity work, you know, rebuilding Joplin, feeding the hungry in Africa, caring for the sick, etc., why do atheists attack them?

Shouldn’t you be going after militant Islam? You know, the people that will saw off atheists heads if they get the chance. You know, the people who are staying very busy blowing up people all over the world. You know, the people who are creating death and mahem on a daily basis. Why aren’t you working on them?

Could it be that atheists and militant Islamists are both tools of the devil and work well together? Something to thing about.

  7. January 22, 2012 at 9:09 pm

Not to change the subject but if you get a chance to Downton Abbey it is FANTASTIC!
BUT, watch season 1 before season 2 or you will get lost in the storyline.

(and get out your tissues because it will make you cry)

  8. January 23, 2012 at 5:54 am

Can’t klll someone who hasn’t been born yet, can you? Late term pregnancy is debatable, but a glob of cells, is not a person any more than water vapor is a tall glass of water. As far as Israeli murderers, well, Here’s abit of information about what the Israelites have been up to these past several decades.

Cynicism and skepticism are the crudest form of quasi-intellectualism… Let the cynic become cynical of his cynicism and the skeptic skeptical of his skepticism and join the battle.
